About the NSSN South West

Trade union reps from across Britain gathered in London last year to discuss founding a grass roots network capable of mobilising trade unionists to fight for workers’ rights. Called by the RMT transport workers’ union the meeting was supported by the TGWU, CWU, PCS, NUJ, NUM, CYWU, FBU, POa and BFAWU.

In January we held a founding conference in Bristol to launch the network in the West Country.

We meet informally on the fourth Thursday of every month at the Railway Club, Bristol Temple Meads, at 7:30 pm.

I may be blind but I couldn’t find a link from the National site. It tokk me ages to find this site doing a search.

Re the article on Green Unions at Work, I’m just completing the Unions and the Environment course with Unionlearn Online and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to take these issues forward. Meanwhile, for those that don’t know, the Regional TUC has a dedicated Project Worker for Green issues.
